The Journey: How It Works
Maintainer Creates a Galaxy
A maintainer signs up and connects their GitHub repository, creating a Galaxy (project) on Ara.
Ara Defines Cost
Ara analyzes the project and defines the cost structure, setting the framework for funding and ownership.
User Funds and Gets Sunshines
Users contribute funds to the Galaxy and receive Sunshines in return, which represent their stake and influence.
Collaboration and Star Rewards
Users and maintainers collaborate, with maintainers potentially becoming collaborators. Stars are rewarded from Sunshines, representing locked tokens unique to the project.
Ownership Transfer
When a threshold of Stars is reached, ownership of the Galaxy transfers to Star owners. Stars remain locked tokens unique to the project, unlocked for transfer and trade only after reaching certain goals.
Sunshines & Stars
Stars
Stars represent your reputation and impact in the Ara ecosystem. You earn Stars by completing quests, closing issues, and making meaningful contributions to Galaxies.
Sunshines
Sunshines are earned through contributions and represent your influence within a Galaxy. More Sunshines mean more say in project decisions and a share of funding distribution.
Blockchain Tracking
Everything on Ara is tracked on the blockchain for transparency, immutability, and trust. Every Galaxy, Star, transaction, and contribution is permanently recorded.
Project Ownership
Each Galaxy has a unique blockchain ID (blockchainId) that permanently records its ownership and metadata on-chain.
Collaboration Records
All contributions, quest completions, and Sunshine distributions are recorded as blockchain transactions (blockchainTx).
Fund Tracking
All donations and fund distributions are transparently tracked on-chain, ensuring accountability and preventing fraud.
